SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 7th, 2010 - BEACHES ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING.....right after morning worship. Bring a sandwich, grab a coffee and join us in the sanctuary for this very important gathering. It is urgent that as many people attend as is possible - we have to make some hard decisions for the future of our church. The Annual Report will be ready for pickup on Sunday.

MISSION CAPSULES: Our gifts to Presbyterians Sharing ... support Dr. Rick Allen, a community Health physician working with the Presbyterian Church of East Africa to educate people about HIV and AIDS. This year is the twelfth year of the PCEA's AIDS programs, which equip lay people and ministers to teach people both within the church and in the community about HIV. Rick also teaches at the Presbyterian University of East Africa, which opened last fall. Rich says, "As always, I see the hand of God in this work." Let us pray for Rick and the PCEA as they work to prevent the spread of HIV and AIDS in Kenya.

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 17th, 2010 - 7:30 pm - Ash Wednesday service marks the beginning of Lent, the season of Ash and Fire. Join us for this simple, quiet service as we begin to move forward to Easter.

MORE CHILDREN'S VIEW OF LOVE

During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was he only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore. Cindy - age 8

My mommy loves me more than anybody. You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night. Clare - age 6

Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford. Chris - age 7.

I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones. Lauren - age 4
